Ingredients:
- 1 box of Mrs. T's® Classic Onion Pierogies
- Olive oil
- 2/3 cup onions, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 4 tsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, and peas)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF. Mince onions.
- In a pan on medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sauté onions for 5 minutes. Then, add in ground beef and cook until browned, about 6 minutes.
- Add in tomato paste, seasonings, worcestershire sauce, flour, beef broth, and mixed vegetables. Cook on medium-low heat until the sauce thickens.
- Pour the ground beef mixture into a baking dish and top with frozen pierogies. Then, top with shredded cheese and thyme.
- Bake on 400º for 18 minutes and then broil on high for 3 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
