Ingredients:
  • 1 box of Mrs. T's® Classic Onion Pierogies
  • Olive oil
  • 2/3 cup onions, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, and peas)
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Mince onions.
  2. In a pan on medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sauté onions for 5 minutes. Then, add in ground beef and cook until browned, about 6 minutes.
  3. Add in tomato paste, seasonings, worcestershire sauce, flour, beef broth, and mixed vegetables. Cook on medium-low heat until the sauce thickens.
  4. Pour the ground beef mixture into a baking dish and top with frozen pierogies. Then, top with shredded cheese and thyme.
  5. Bake on 400º for 18 minutes and then broil on high for 3 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
