Ingredients:
- Mrs. T’s Classic Cheddar Pierogies (full size)
- 1 lb frozen green beans
- 1 - 10 1/2 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups (6oz) sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and boil the cut green beans until crisp tender, about (fill in the blank) minutes. Remove the beans and immediately submerge them in an ice bath to stop the cooking. Drain the beans once cooled.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- Add in the green beans, cheese, 1/2 cup of crispy fried onions, and a 1/2 tsp of salt. Mix together with a spatula and pour into a buttered baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly.
- While the casserole is baking, boil one box of Mrs. T’s Classic Cheddar Pierogies according to the box instructions.
- Once the casserole is bubbly, remove from the oven and top with the remaining crispy fried onions, followed by the pierogies.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes until the pierogies are golden. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
