Baked Ham & Swiss Pierogy Casserole

Ingredients:
  • 1 1lb box of Mrs. T's Broccoli & Cheddar Pierogies
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 cup cubed ham
  • Olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. Drizzle olive oil in a baking dish, place pierogies in one single layer, and then brush them with olive oil.
  3. Bake pierogies on 400ºF for 12 minutes.
  4. While the pierogies are baking, melt butter in a pan on medium low heat. Then, add flour and stir until it forms a roux.
  5. Pour in whole milk, 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, salt, pepper, and onion powder, and stir until combined. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Take the pierogies out of the oven, pour the cheese sauce on top of the pierogies. Then, toss the cubed ham on top, along with 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Broil on high for 6 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
